When I was growing up I read a lot of women’s magazines. Every month I was faced with interviews and stories about lives of models, actresses, singers and tv presenters. As a result of that (and maybe my general dreamyness) I spent most of my teenage years wanting to have one of those careers. Instead, I could have been pursuing numerous other paths, particularly the ones more suited to my skills.

Nowadays, the media, especially the online channels, is much better at representing women, however the mainstream is still dominated with the narrow obsession of celebrity and show business culture. There are many of us, who think that this isn’t right and that things should change and I’m starting this website because from small things… big things grow.

LINK-ON is dedicated to the young girl I once was and to young girls growing up today. It’s a journey from woman to woman, exploring their ideas, experiences, values and opinions. All women on this website are nominated by other women that they inspire. That’s how we will build the chain together and I hope the journey inspires us all in some way.
